Azerbaijan visa for Indian passport holders
Baku on an ASAN e-Visa: three working days, one page of details, no embassy. The one thing that matters is that every field matches the passport character for character.

How the Azerbaijan visa works
Azerbaijan issues Indian passport holders a single-entry electronic visa through the ASAN Visa system, valid for 30 days of stay within a 90-day entry window. There is no interview, no financial documentation and no embassy visit. Because the system does not verify against any external database, a typo in the passport number or a mismatch in the name order simply produces a visa that does not match the passport, which airline staff catch at check-in in India rather than immigration catching in Baku.

Where Azerbaijan applications go wrong
Every field is taken literally
The visa is generated from what you type. A transposed digit in the passport number produces a valid-looking e-visa that is useless at the airport, and the fee is not refunded.
Entry window versus stay period
The 30-day stay must fall within a 90-day validity window from the date shown on the visa. Applying too far ahead of an uncertain travel date wastes the visa.
Nagorno-Karabakh travel history
Evidence of visiting the disputed territory without Azerbaijani authorisation results in refusal of entry. This is checked at the border, not at the application stage.
